Story

Xiao Ran was born on January 28, 2013 and was diagnosed with complex congenital heart disease at People's Hospital of Yanhe County. Surgery was essential for him to enjoy a healthy childhood, but the cost placed it out of reach.

Xiao Ran lives with his Tujia minority parents and his younger brother in rural Guizhou province. Both children are in school. His mother manages the household while his father works as an unskilled migrant worker, seeking jobs wherever possible. Despite careful saving, the family could not raise the funds needed for surgery.

Thanks to a child sponsorship contribution of ¥30,000 from the YK Pao School community, Heart to Heart funded Xiao Ran's surgical care. He was admitted to Shanghai Yida Hospital on August 18, 2025, and his procedure on August 26, 2025 was successful. Xiao Ran is now recovering steadily and looking forward to an active future.
